Don't be Alarmed by the Air Raid Sirens this Saturday
On September 19, Shenzhen will sound an alarm throughout the city.
According to a recent announcement, in order to further enhance the general public's national defense concept and air defense awareness, and to test the performance of Shenzhen's civil air defense warning facilities, in accordance with the "Shenzhen Measures for the Implementation of the Civil Air Defense Law of the People's Republic of China" and relevant higher-level work arrangements, it the air defense sirens test is scheduled for September 19th.
The specific announcement is as follows
1. Air defense alarm test time
September 19 (Saturday) 10:40-11:00 in the morning.
2. Air defense alarm test range
Citywide.
3. The air defense alarm test form
The air defense alarm test is carried out in the order of "pre-alarm", "air raid alarm" and "alarm", with each alarm sounding for 3 minutes with an interval of 4-7 minutes.
Pre-alarm: 10:40 to 10:43, beep for 36 seconds, stop for 24 seconds, repeat 3 times, time 3 minutes.
Air raid alarm: 10:50 to 10:53, sound for 6 seconds, stop for 6 seconds, repeat 15 times for 3 minutes.
Alarm: 10:57 to 11:00, continuous sounding, time 3 minutes.
During the air defense alarm test, except for some personnel participating in related drills, the general public are requested to maintain normal work and life order after hearing the alarm.
What should I do after hearing the air defense alert?
If it is during a war or disaster, once you hear the air defense pre-warning, don’t panic. First, close the doors and windows, turn off the power and natural gas, bring water, medicine and related documents, and evacuate according to the location designated by the air defense department.
If you are too late to evacuate after hearing the air raid warning, get to a corner of the room or get down under a table. If outdoors, find a low-lying place and get down, cross your hands and place it on your chest with your mouth slightly open to minimize damage from shockwaves.
Air defense alarms are tested in order to better inspect the integrity of the air defense alarm facilities and the sound effects of the alarms, so that the general public is familiar with the air defense warning signals, and to improve the concept of national defense and the awareness of air defense.
